The MacPac Amp Light 45 design is inspired by MacPac's work with New Zealand’s top adventure racing teams. These multisport athletes have helped MacPac perfect gear that performs when you want to go light and fast.
This backpack pairs Macpac legendary load-carrying comfort and durability with a lightweight philosophy. The Amp's Titan Grid™ fabric combines low weight (116g/m2) with durability and abrasion resistance. Helium™ Harness provides an extremely high level of support and comfort. A padded hip belt stimulates weight transfer to the hips and adds comfort. This Dynamic style hip belt also pivots and can be removed.
Several other features that are great for your outdoor adventures are: side pockets that are accessible on the go and tighten with one hand, large rear mesh pocket, sternum strap buckle that has a built in whistle and hip belt pocket.
Side compression straps enable you to adjust the volume to perfectly fit the contents of your pack. The lid has a zippered pocket and locks down with twin buckles. The internal bladder sleeve is large enough for a 128 ounce bladder.
Air mesh back panel and hip belt allow ventilation and wicking. Foam and plastic removeable back panel keep items from poking into you. Two quick attachment points enable you to strap a mountaineering axe or trekking poles to the rear of the pack. One large zippered pocket on the back of the pack provides quick access to items such as rain wear or first aid kits. Low zipper allows easy access to gear in the bottom of your pack.
The sternum strap is adjustable up or down 5 inches to where it is most comfortable for you.

Titan Grid™ Fabric
Helium™ Harness The Benefits: Enables you to carry a light load up to 22 lbs (10kg) in comfort. Provides groundbreaking load carrying comfort combined with low weight. Enables you to move efficiently, quickly and with high speed when engaged in highly mobile activities. AirMesh™ fabric on the harness works by wicking perspiration away from your skin. This keeps you drier and more comfortable when you are working hard or in hot conditions. AirMesh™ fabric also provides valuable padding from your load.
Back panel: A specially lightened high-density polyethylene (HDPE) framesheet transfers weight from the shoulders to the hip region while still providing resistance to kinking.
Hipbelt: The lightweight, flexible padded hipbelt with hip-fin contours to your body to improve comfort. A double adjusting hipbelt buckle tightens to give a precise fit while an integrated mesh pocket on the hip belt ensures essentials are kept close at hand
Titan Grid™ Fabric Lightweight and durable Titan Grid™ fabric is a 100d high tenacity nylon. The silicon outer coating and PU inner coating add weatherproofness and at only 116g/m2 it is ideal for applications where conserving weight is critical. Compared to similar weight fabrics Titan Grid™ offers improved durability as the grid structure and raised fibres enhance its ability to absorb abrasion.
