The GoLite Lite-Speed backpack is a well thought out and executed pack for expedition adventure racing, lightweight backpacking and adventure travel.
Super durable Velocity fabric is polyurethane-coated and DWR-treated for extreme water resistance. Moldable framesheet with two adjustable aluminum stays gives a custom fit and supports loads up to 35 lbs. The paneled back is constructed with spacer mesh for quick drying, Brock™ foam padding in the shoulder straps provides maximum support and adjustable load lifter straps help the pack form to your body comfortably.
A huge rear mesh "stuff-it" pocket accommodates extra gear, and lashes down securely thanks to a bungee cord system. Two side angled mesh pockets and bellowed pockets on the hip belt allow easy access to important items. Two side compression straps with quick release buckles keep everything compact and tight. Top zippered compartment keeps important items safe and easily accessible.
Fit and functionality are very good. Padded and contoured shoulder straps combined with a wide waistbelt give a solid fit. The sternum strap has 5 inches of adjustability. The waistbelt has two mesh pockets that are large enough for energy bars, compasses, etc.
The main compartment is accessed by a zipper that runs around the top half of the pack. Inside the pack is a 3 liter hydration sleeve, hook for holding the hydration bladder up and frame sheet with 2 adjustable aluminum stays. On the rear of the pack are a tow loop/light clip, cord lock and hook to compress the bottom and 2 ice axe loops.
